AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is a striker. She also serves as captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the top division in women's professional soccer. From 2018 until 2020, she was a co-captain of America's women's national soccer squad with Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her professional debut at the club and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan was 22 years old at the time and the youngest player in the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final game against Canada at the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She was able to finish 2012 with 28 goals and 21 assists as she joined Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and give 20 assists during the same calendar year and becoming the sixth youngest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was an FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan also helped the United States win their titles at the 2015 as well as the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, in which she was selected to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
