Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. She began acting in stage shows during the 1950s, beginning at the age of Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared on Broadway throughout a range of shows up until the year of 1957 in which Li'l abner was large in the National Theatre. She also released her first music album, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1959 drama. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. In the years prior to this, she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her teacher. Her contract was signed with CBS in 1964, to portray Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her acting career across Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in more dark roles, as opposed to her image as the glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the last couple of years she's also earned her mark as a highly successful director of many well-known shows on television such as Supernatural or The 100. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. She and her family relocated to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in Vancouver ever since.
