Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer, and actress best known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s the television show Gilligan's Island. Her stage experience began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Later, she appeared in number of Broadway productions, before becoming the most famous on stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. The singer also released her debut music album It's Time for Tina during the same year. Louise began her Hollywood career in 1958, when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a film that was dramatic. It was a huge hit and Louise earned her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The role that she was most famous for came with the year 1964, after she joined CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise managed to mix her profession successfully in between Broadway television and Hollywood acting in somber roles contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in recent years she's also earned her name as a highly successful director of various well-known television shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 28th August 1965, the family relocated to Toronto around the age of three. The city was her home for the first part of her childhood there before moving to Toronto for her adolescence. Then she settled in Vancouver after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
