Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, well-known for her character Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in the late 1960s. In the 1950s she started her professional career as an actor on stage with Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. In 1957, she also debuted her own album called It's time for Tina. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood acting as Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim as well as Louise got the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection with Lee Strasberg as his student. The year 1964 saw her win her first notable role after CBS signed her to portray Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her career from Broadway television and Hollywood, portraying more somber roles, as opposed to the image of glamorous. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she's been making a distinction as a producer of several popular TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family relocated away from Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her growing up and in adolescence. When she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and was there ever from then on.
