Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her career as an actress on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. In the 1950s she performed as a stage performer in a few Broadway productions before gaining into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's performance in the year 1957. In the same year, she recorded her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Louise's first foray into Hollywood was when she played Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, a 1958 film. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. At the time, she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship to Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. The actress signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood and Broadway in roles that were more serious that reflected her reputation as a the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary but she also established herself as an accomplished television director on various series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for growing up and in adolescence. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living in Vancouver ever since.
